BondChain proposes a trusted document workflow for Bhutanese public services. The project connects a Bhutan NDI identity to a wallet-based signing flow, allowing users and officials to sign, verify, and track documents through a shared audit trail.
The prototype supports several document trust flows: user-to-user document signing, user-to-government service requests, agency officer signing, certificate issuance, linked signature-chain verification, and public verification of signed records. Documents are uploaded to IPFS through Pinata, while document hashes and audit events are recorded on Ethereum Sepolia. The system also uses Privy server wallets to simplify wallet interaction for users who may not be familiar with blockchain tools.
The public-service use case is to make document-based interactions more verifiable and easier to audit. Citizens could request services or sign documents with NDI-backed identity, while agencies could issue or countersign documents in a way that leaves tamper-evident records. Public verification routes would let third parties confirm whether a document hash and signature chain match the expected record.
