Eco Ernesto Visita is a Dominican educational and environmental initiative founded by educator, researcher, and author María Teresa Pérez. The organization was created to connect children, families, and communities with nature through storytelling, environmental education, and scientific learning. As the first Dominican children’s storytelling series focused on ecotourism, sustainability, and triple-impact education, Eco Ernesto Visita combines literature, conservation, and community engagement to inspire positive environmental action. The team works alongside educators, volunteers, community leaders, environmental professionals, and partner organizations to develop educational resources and experiences that promote biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, literacy, and sustainable development. Together, we share a common vision: empowering a new generation of environmental stewards capable of protecting the Dominican Republic’s unique natural and cultural heritage.
