About Youth Leading Environmental Change (YLEC)

Youth Leading Environmental Change (YLEC) began its journey in 2012 as an environmental engagement stemming from a series of international workshops. YLEC Uganda is an NGO that engages youth with divergent skills and education backgrounds in solving environmental problems. As a youth-led platform, the organization commissions projects, campaigns and innovations to increase the availability of more efficient and affordable clean energy options in the country by working with and bringing on board several sectors of society but mainly capable and qualified young people. It focuses its approach by doing research, imparting knowledge and building capacity in different communities.
