About Women in Water and Natural Resources Conservation (WWANC)
Women in Water and Natural Resources Conservation (WWANC) is a women-led Kenyan organization founded in 2011 that empowers marginalized communities while addressing climate change through forest restoration, tree planting, and environmental conservation initiatives. WWANC works across multiple Kenyan counties to support women in building sustainable livelihoods through tree nurseries, clean energy training, and community-based conservation efforts that restore degraded ecosystems. The organization equips women with skills and knowledge in climate mitigation, agroforestry, and eco-entrepreneurship while strengthening environmental stewardship and women's leadership in natural resource management.
