Tree Solutions Ghana's Eco School project, aims to establish School Gardens in five public primary schools in Ghana’s Western Region, in order to develop the next generation of agriculturalists excited about learning and farming, and empower primary school pupils with resources to be able to study climate change, while also engaging in various agricultural science projects that will educate and enable them to engage in and sustain an eco-environment within their schools and communities. We plan to integrate Moringa into the school feeding Projects in these schools, and plant 500 Moringa trees within the school compounds.
The project is devoted in focusing its efforts to provide local schools with various sustainability projects, focusing primarily on eco-living, recycling, horticulture etc in the Western region of Ghana. Through this project, the schools and it’s associating villages will have access to:
• Permaculture science curriculum and resource center • Increased clean water supply • Bee hives and honey production • Increased fruit and vegetable supply • Recycling program • Herbal medicine supply • Mushroom growing • Composting toilets
