2026 FIP-3 Summit: Reflecting on our collective experiences to shape the next chapter of the FAB DAO Guidelines. How should we approve the next round of funding? How can we maintain momentum in a decentralized environment? How do we create a virtuous cycle between operational efficiency and participatory decision-making? With a steadfast commitment to the original spirit of the DAO, we carry over three years of invaluable hands-on experience. The moments of fulfillment, confusion, breakthrough, and frustration are all woven into our decisions and felt through our lived actions. ＊ Since the formation of FIP-1 over three years ago, FAB DAO has consistently operated and advanced with a team of entirely non-full-time members. We have achieved significant milestones: developing the FAB DAO hyper-certificate dashboard, securing international Web3 Public Goods funding to support local initiatives in Taiwan, continuously curating diverse NFT collections while inviting collectors to share their insights, supporting the production of the 2025 Garrison Transformation Guide, and launching FAB DAO Grants to kickstart small-scale actions. Through these diverse initiatives, we have put the DAO philosophy into practice. At the same time, we have utilized multi-sig wallets for collective asset management, allowing various sub-groups to develop their own unique operational styles. However, long-standing challenges persist. These include how to onboard new active contributors, whether to embrace open-source requirements to increase sustainability, how to synthesize our experiences into reproducible models, and whether our current pace aligns with everyone’s ideals. We hope to consolidate these precious experiences to provide a definitive, interim meaningful response to the concept of a "DAO"—a form that is still nascent, imaginative, and open to interpretation. ＊ Our collective goals for the next stage are waiting to be shaped, and a consensus on the next phase of funding must be reached. Working in action groups, we strive to sketch out a new shared blueprint.
