The organization works in an area where local Maasai communities have lived alongside wildlife, forests, and grasslands, maintaining a landscape of exceptional biological and cultural diversity that hosts one of Earth's richest large mammal populations. SORALO's programs include rangelands governance focused on securing and strengthening communities' rights to land through effective local governance institutions, as well as wildlife coexistence initiatives.
