Opulence Plus Burundi is a community-based environmental organization in Burundi focused on restoring ecosystems, protecting biodiversity, and promoting sustainable development. It addresses key challenges such as deforestation, soil erosion, climate change, and plastic pollution that threaten natural resources and community livelihoods. The organization works through a strong community-led approach involving local populations, youth, women, and indigenous communities in environmental action. Its main activities include tree nurseries, reforestation, agroforestry, and restoration of degraded landscapes, as well as environmental education and awareness campaigns. It also leads plastic waste management initiatives through clean-up activities and awareness programs under Mission 1000 Tonnes Burundi.
