Restoration: Healing Our Land

Butere, Kenya once thrived with vibrant ecosystems. Native forests, abundant wildlife, and fertile lands sustained thriving communities. But rapid industrialization changed everything.

Heavy manufacturing destroyed what nature took centuries to build. Indigenous trees vanished. Swamps dried up. Water sources disappeared. Animal habitats were erased. The soil that once produced abundant crops now lies barren and exhausted.

Our rivers run dry. The birds and animals that once filled our skies are gone. The lush landscapes that defined our region have been reduced to degraded wastelands.

It doesn't have to stay this way.

This project harnesses regenerative innovation to restore what was lost. By replanting native vegetation, reviving water catchments, and rehabilitating degraded ecosystems, we can rebuild the foundation of our community's survival.

Together, we can transform scarred land into thriving habitat. We can bring back clean water, restore biodiversity, and reclaim fertile soil for future generations.

Our earth is calling. It's time to answer with action.

Therefore ,Agriculture, Innovating food systems to regenerate the land through technology that can conserve and restore indigenous knowledge, indigenous trees, ecosystems conservation, attitude change for re aforestation and improving the natural vegetations that can attract animals, birds,microbes, improved water systems, protect runoff waters to conserve soil erosion.

All these systems were there and we need to go back to zero tealage.

Community

Therefore we need to Empower our people through local initiatives like group discussions, participating in the activities that are laid down, capacity building people on policies to guide the implementation. To inform communities about the dangers. That are creating poor practices of Agriculture. We involve all parties; children in schools,youth groups, women groups, self help groups, aged groups, opinion leaders, implementers, researchers.

The changes the project will be creating are:

1). Indigenous, Agroforestry trees planted.

2). Swales have been constructed on lands

3) communities and all stakeholders having information and exchange it another

4). No running water after rain

5). Well Compost hips being seen
