About Happy People of Ukraine (Щасливі Люди України)

Happy People of Ukraine is a grassroots NGO supporting ecological regeneration, local resilience and cooperation between eco-settlements in Ukraine. We work with land-based communities, families, volunteers and internally displaced people, creating spaces where people can restore nature and social trust through collective action. The team is led by Borys Shestopalov, Head of the NGO and project leader. Oleksii is the project coordinator and technical support specialist. Svitlana Shestopalova is the grants specialist and project curator. Ivan Chernyshenko contributes as a hippotherapy specialist and blacksmith. Denis Vinnikov supports the organisation of sports and cultural events. Valentyna Olimpiuk leads artistic plein-air activities. Oleksandr Artiukhin works as a scriptwriter, organiser and host of cultural events. Together with volunteers and the GEN Ukraine network, we organise workdays, tree planting, edible forest initiatives, educational activities and transparent reporting.
