About Go Eco (Waikato Environment Centre)
Go Eco Waikato is an environmental charity that supports communities to protect and restore the health of whenua, wai and people across the Waikato region.
For over twenty years, Go Eco has worked alongside hapū, marae, schools, councils, community organisations and volunteers to deliver practical environmental action and long-term systems impact. Our work spans biodiversity restoration, freshwater protection, climate resilience, waste minimisation, environmental education and community-led food system initiatives.
We believe thriving communities depend on thriving ecosystems. Through collaborative partnerships and locally led approaches, we support people to care for the places they live while strengthening community wellbeing, resilience and environmental stewardship.
Our team brings experience in ecological restoration, biodiversity management, freshwater education, regenerative growing systems, kaupapa Māori engagement and community development.
