Our Story
The Opportunity in Waste
Across Sabah, Malaysia, agricultural waste is burned, dumped, or buried daily—polluting the air, degrading soil, and releasing greenhouse gases. Meanwhile, smallholder farmers struggle with skyrocketing costs for animal feed and chemical fertilizers, squeezing their already-thin margins.
At Global Cerah, we saw something others missed: a solution hiding in plain sight.
The Vision
We're transforming agricultural waste into valuable resources that farmers can actually use. Our circular agriculture model recovers waste, processes it through IoT-enabled facilities, and returns it to farms as sustainable feed and organic fertilizers. Since 2021, we've processed over 50,000 tons of waste and converted nearly 48,000 tons into useful agricultural products.
How It Works
Farmers supply agricultural residues to our facilities. We remove contaminants and transform the waste into high-quality products. Participating farmers receive affordable feed and fertilizers in return—creating a powerful incentive to divert waste from landfills while reducing farming costs and restoring soil health.
Real Impact
Our work supports thousands of smallholder farmers while delivering measurable environmental benefits: reduced emissions, improved soil quality, and decreased reliance on imported inputs. Sixty percent of our supply chain workforce are women from local and indigenous communities.
Next Steps
With your support, we'll scale this proven model across Southeast Asia, proving that waste isn't a problem—it's the foundation of a more sustainable, resilient future for farming communities.
