Deep in Ecuador's Chocó region—one of Earth's most biodiverse and threatened landscapes—Fundación Great Leaf is on a mission to rewild a fragmented forest. We're rebuilding a living corridor between two pristine wildlands, reconnecting habitats for Endangered Mantled Howler Monkeys, critically endangered endemic trees, and over 250 documented species.
But we're not doing this alone. Local families in El Carmen, Manabí are at the heart of this transformation: they propagate native seedlings, youth master agroforestry through hands-on EcoClubs, and women lead biodiversity monitoring. Together, we're bringing life back to degraded pastureland and restoring a landscape that had gone silent.
Your support fuels this work—funding field equipment, nursery expansions, soil health research, and team training. More importantly, every dollar directly plants trees, trains community parabiologists, and secures critical habitat for endangered wildlife.
