About Fundación Montecito
Fundación Montecito is a nonprofit organization registered in 2010 and based in Sogamoso that generates action and reflection for the environment, with a special focus at Colombia's Lake Tota. We advance environmental conditions in Andean regions through water governance, environmental education, and managing nature reserves. We believe environmental culture is crucial for improving our relationship with nature and adopting responsible practices.
In short, our mission is: Protecting Andean forests and wetlands through environmental education, community-led conservation, good governance and private nature reserves.
