In San Marcos, Sucre, Colombia, communities live among wetlands, flooding, and changing water systems that affect both ecosystems and daily life. In response to these challenges, we support the Agroanfibio research group at San Marcos School, a collective of young people developing community-based water monitoring and environmental learning processes grounded in their own territorial experience. They are amphibious youth: they grew up alongside the wetlands and waterways, while also developing interests in robotics, programming, and community science. Our goal is to strengthen their capacities so they can combine technology and local knowledge to protect wetland ecosystems and contribute to solutions for the future of La Mojana. The funds will support workshops, monitoring tools, educational materials, and community gatherings. One of our greatest challenges is the lack of resources and opportunities for rural youth to continue developing environmental initiatives within their own territories.
