Growing up close to rural communities in the Peruvian Amazon, we witnessed how farming families work tirelessly to cultivate coffee and food while remaining isolated from economic opportunity. Many communities must walk for hours through difficult jungle terrain to transport their harvests because safe rural access routes are limited or damaged. Despite their effort and knowledge, much of their production never reaches markets in time.
Through Ayni Andes, AGAPE HAND AND REFOREST TREES is working alongside local farming families to strengthen rural resilience, community access, and sustainable livelihoods in the Amazon region. Our project focuses on supporting agricultural communities through community-led pathways, local collaboration, field documentation, and regenerative rural initiatives that help families move crops more safely and maintain long-term economic stability.
Over the next year, we aim to expand support for vulnerable farming communities, improve local access conditions, reduce crop loss, and strengthen visibility for families often excluded from larger economic systems. By working directly with communities and documenting their realities transparently, we hope to create stronger connections between local producers, global supporters, and regenerative action rooted in dignity, sustainability, and human collaboration.
