The Demography Project

The Demography Project is an independent youth-led non-profit organization that leverages civic technology, citizen science, collective action and grassroots science journalism towards amplifying community voices and enhancing citizen capacity in participatory democracy and environmental conservation. The organization's mission is to promote an enlightened and responsible Kenyan citizenry committed towards democratic principles and actively engaged in the practice of democracy and sustainable development. Based in Kenya, the organization focuses on monitoring, interpreting, evaluating and disseminating accurate and objective demographic, democratic, health and related socioeconomic data to enhance information, awareness and collaborative action.
