Te Ranga Wairua Trust is an innovative landscape-scale trapping project on the Coromandel Peninsula dedicated to restoring native ecosystems through extensive animal pest control. By creating a 10-kilometre-wide corridor of predator control across the peninsula, the organization aims to restore forests, wetlands, scrublands and coastal habitats where native species can thrive. United by landowners and indigenous communities, Te Ranga Wairua works to connect conservation efforts from the mountains to the sea, protecting precious coastal forests and wetlands while enabling the establishment of a predator-free environment for endangered native wildlife.
