Mangaroa Farms is a resilient community food hub and education centre with 2000-acres of living laboratory for transitioning dairy and pine into regenerative agriculture and native forests. The market garden team produces fresh organic produce through building healthy soil and microbial systems, available from their Farm Shop. The farm borders 500+ acres of native old growth forest and 700+ acres of pine which will be regenerated as native forest over the next 2-5 years, while pasture-raised cattle and sheep provide natural fertilizer to increase soil health and diversity. Mangaroa Farms regularly hosts volunteer days and workshops to share knowledge with the community.
