Anasi Farmers

Anasi Farmers is a youth and community led organization operating in the Rwenzori region of Uganda in Kasese district to empower small holder farmers between ages of 16-45 years with knowledge and skills on best agronomic practices to improve food and nutrition security through promoting permaculture and agroecological principles and practices. Our organization is managed by farmers for farmers so that farmer voices and innovation can be an engine in building restorative agriculture towards transforming food systems in rural communities. Having been started by farmers who only grew crops on the mercy of God hence name ‘’Anasi’’ meaning ‘’God Knows’’, the organization adopted innovative mechanisms that will build cohesion between people, animals and the earth for generations.
