Alianza Cuencas Sagradas is an alliance of civil society organizations with strong indigenous representation, focused on the recognition and permanent protection of the Sacred Watersheds bioregion in the Amazon, between Peru and Ecuador. Their work encompasses over 35 million hectares of forest, serving as home to more than 30 indigenous nationalities, and aims to enhance the governance and autonomy of these communities. They promote intercultural education, food sovereignty, and legal actions to defend indigenous rights and the environment against extractive activities.
